First, how do you calibrate a blood glucose meter? Install the needle. Correction code. Turn on the Yicheng blood glucose meter, the instrument displays the self-test program "888", then displays "Calibration" at the bottom of the screen and flashes continuously for 6 seconds, prompting you to check whether the instrument calibration code is consistent with the test strip calibration code. If different, within 6 seconds when the "Calibration" prompt flashes, press the main button continuously to adjust until it is consistent with the calibration code marked on the test strip. Stop pressing when the same calibration code is reached, and the calibration code will be automatically memorized. (Note: If you accidentally miss the position of the required calibration code, please continue pressing. There are 31 calibration codes for the instrument, which can be operated cyclically).

Second, insert the Yicheng blood glucose test strip. When the "Insert" character is displayed on the screen of the Yicheng blood glucose meter, open the test strip package, take out the test strip, and insert one end of the test strip electrode into the instrument socket. (Note: The electrode end plane and the instrument screen are in the same direction. Do not use too much force when inserting to avoid bending the test strip. Check whether the insertion is in place and whether the screen displays the word "blood in".)

Third, draw blood. Press the lancing pen vertically against the area where blood is to be drawn and press the button to make the needle pierce the skin. Add sample. When the Yicheng blood glucose meter displays the "blood inlet" character, place the blood sample against the siphon port (either the left or the right, but not both at the same time). At this time, due to the siphon principle of the test strip, the blood sample is automatically sucked into the reaction area of ​​the test strip. (Note: The blood sample must fill the reaction area at one time. Do not add blood repeatedly or scrape blood.)

How to calibrate a blood glucose meter? Classification of test strips. There are two types of test strips: blood drop type and blood sucking type. The two test strips correspond to two types of blood glucose meters respectively. The disadvantage of the blood drop type is that it is easy for unskilled operation to cause the blood drop to fail to fill the test strip, resulting in inaccurate test results and the need for retesting, which wastes the test strip. This will not happen with the blood-sucking type, as it will suck up all the blood on its own.
