The difference between puffy eyelids and fleshy eyelids

People who like to wear makeup know that eye makeup is the essence of the entire makeup. Whether you are a delicate little fairy depends entirely on whether your eye makeup is exquisite. Therefore, girls who love beauty pay great attention to their eyes, but there are some situations that even experienced makeup experts cannot handle well. That’s right, this is exactly what we are talking about: puffy eyelids and fleshy eyelids. So what are the causes of puffy eyelids and fleshy eyelids? What is the difference between the two?

In fact, what we call swollen eyelids are edema caused by thick eyelids, and the formation of fleshy eyelids is because the fat in the eye sockets is too protruding, causing hypertrophy of the upper eyelid, making the palpebral fissure smaller and forming an inverted triangle.

Swollen eyelids can be divided into two types: one is pure fatty hypertrophic swollen eyelids, the other is pure orbicularis oculi muscle hypertrophy swollen eyelids, and there is also hypertrophy of both fat and orbicularis oculi muscle. Since the causes of these two forms of swollen eyelids are different, different treatment methods are required to achieve the best eye plastic surgery effect. Regarding the problem, experts pointed out that if the puffy eyelids are simply caused by fatty hypertrophy, liposuction can be used to treat the puffy eyelids. Removing excess fat from the upper eyelid can achieve very good results. However, if there is hypertrophy of the orbicularis oculi muscle, surgery is required to treat the puffy eyelids. The skin of the upper eyelid should be cut open, and the excess fat and hypertrophic orbicularis oculi muscle should be removed at the same time under visible conditions. After effectively treating the problem of puffy eyelids, people can also use some good methods to improve the problem of puffy eyelids, namely: apply a tea bag to the eyes, filter the soaked tea bag, put it in the refrigerator for a while, and take it out to apply to the eyes. Remember to drain it dry, otherwise the color of the tea leaves will make your dark circles more obvious. 2. Apply ice pad or frozen towel on the eyes to shrink the blood vessels around the eyes, help reduce swelling of the skin around the eyes, and also inhibit congestion.

The blister eye is also called water blister eye or meat eye. In the anatomy of the eye, there is a tissue called the orbital septum, which is a very thin tissue that connects the tarsal plate and the orbital rim. Its function is to separate the eyelid and the orbit. There are three septa in the orbit of the upper eyelid. The middle and inner septa are filled with fat, and the outer septa contain the eye glands.

There are two types of blister eyes. One is congenital and often has a family history of inheritance; the other is acquired. Due to aging, the orbital septum becomes loose, the orbital fat protrudes or the lacrimal gland droops, the upper eyelid appears bloated and thick, and in severe cases, the outer eye area shows an enlarged eaves-like droop, making the eyes look like triangular eyes and the palpebral fissure becomes smaller. Whether it is congenital "blister eyes" or acquired orbital septum relaxation, it can be corrected through surgery and can be performed at the same time as double eyelid surgery. That is, the fat balls protruding from the orbital septum are removed, and the drooping lacrimal glands are repositioned and fixed, so that the appearance of the eyes can be ideally improved.
