Is syringoma contagious?

Is syringoma contagious?

Syringoma is a benign tumor, but after having a syringoma, sweat cannot be discharged, and toxins in the body will accumulate more and more. Syringoma will continue to divide in the body, so if it is not treated for a long time, the condition will become more and more serious. This disease mostly occurs in women and affects the beauty of women's appearance. So is syringoma contagious?

Causes

This disease is more common in women, and the condition worsens during puberty, pregnancy and menstruation, so it has a certain relationship with endocrine system. Some patients have a family history.

Clinical manifestations

Onset or worsening during puberty. Skin lesions often occur on the eyelids (especially the lower eyelids) and forehead skin. The lesions are millet-sized, multiple, light brown papules that are slightly elevated above the skin surface. A small number of patients have eruptive syringomas. In addition to facial syringomas, extensive symmetrical skin lesions can also be seen on the chest, abdomen, limbs and vulva.

diagnosis

This disease is a millet-sized papule occurring around the eyelids. Histopathologically, it shows a cyst-like structure formed by basaloid cells in the superficial dermis, with amorphous substances in the cavity. The most characteristic manifestation is that one end is tubular and the other end is a solid cord, shaped like a comma or tadpole.

treat

This disease is a benign tumor and does not need to be treated. If it is necessary for cosmetic reasons, electrolysis treatment or CO2 laser treatment can be tried.

Dense syringoma:

Dense syringomas generally only grow around the eyes or in a certain part of the body. As the disease progresses, the syringomas become more and more dense, and eventually they will merge into masses, just like water droplets merging with each other, and the area continues to expand.

Clear cell syringoma:

Through observation and analysis of syringoma pathological sections, it was found that the histopathological manifestations of clear cell syringoma are different from those of general syringoma, and patients with this type of clear cell syringoma often also suffer from diabetes. Medical literature points out that among 60 cases of clear cell syringoma, only 1 case was not associated with diabetes.

Eruptive Syringoma:

Eruptive syringomas can grow in a wide range of locations, and may occur in more than one location. Some patients may have syringomas on their face, neck, chest, around the navel, and genitals at the same time. The number of syringomas is often hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands. Generalized syringomas grow faster and are generally shiny light rose in color, which is darker than intensive syringomas. Syringomas that grow in the pubic area can sometimes cause severe itching. Among male syringoma patients, generalized syringomas are the most common.
