What to do with contact lens slips

Nowadays, more and more people are suffering from myopia. Many girls don’t like to wear glasses, so most girls choose to wear contact lenses. Although contact lenses look good, they can cause great harm to the eyes. Many girls experience contact lens slippage when they buy new contact lenses. What is going on? Is there any good solution?

The main reasons for slippage are:

First, the base curve is too large.

Second, I wore it the wrong way around.

Third, contact lenses made of soft materials and ultra-thin lenses may also slip.

When the brow ridge is high and the eyes are not very large, it will be difficult to wear contact lenses with a larger diameter (especially for first-time wearers) because the diameter of the contact lenses exceeds the maximum diameter that the eyes can open.

If the corneal curvature radius is relatively small and the cornea is relatively flat, if you choose contact lenses with a smaller base curve, it will easily cause the contact lenses to be in too tight contact with the cornea, resulting in insufficient tear circulation and affecting corneal metabolism. If the corneal curvature radius is large and the corneal curvature is large, if you choose contact lenses with a base curve that is too large, its adhesion will decrease. When the eyelids blink up and down, the contact lenses will easily move with the movement, resulting in temporary blurred vision. If it is severe and cannot attach well to the cornea, it will cause unclear vision.

Therefore, contact lenses must be fitted in formal places. Many eyewear stores do not have professional contact lens optometrists (there is a difference between contact lens optometrists and ordinary optometrists). Their examinations are not thorough, causing many patients to feel uncomfortable or have various problems when wearing the lenses.

Solution:

Before wearing the contact lenses each time, carefully identify the front and back of the contact lenses. Wearing the contact lenses front and back incorrectly is an important factor causing contact lens slippage.

If you find lens slipping, move your eyeballs and adjust the lenses, and the phenomenon will get better.

After a few days of adaptation, the slippage phenomenon will decrease.

Choosing contact lenses with a base curve that suits you can effectively prevent the lenses from slipping. Too large a base curve is the root cause of contact lens slippage. Therefore, when choosing contact lenses, you must choose your own base curve. This is very important.

When wearing contact lenses, you must choose one that suits you. Don't blindly listen to other people's recommendations. Also, the base curve and degree must be chosen accurately so that they will be very comfortable to wear. It will not pose a threat to eye health!
