Summer is here again, and many insects have grown. People also like to wear revealing and cool clothes because of the hot weather, and they like to go out and play, especially take walks at night, which gives insects many opportunities to target people. Among them, there is a type of tick that is very harmful to the human body. Once it enters the human body, it is difficult to remove. So how should soft ticks be removed safely and effectively? Symptoms of ticks: There is usually no pain when stinging and sucking blood, but because the chelicerae and hypostome pierce the host's skin at the same time, it can cause local congestion, edema, acute inflammatory response, and may also cause secondary infection. The neurotoxins secreted by some hard ticks in their saliva during the blood-sucking process can cause conduction disorders in the host's motor fibers, leading to ascending muscle paralysis, which can lead to respiratory failure and death, a phenomenon called tick paralysis. It is more common in children. If the tick is discovered in time and removed, the symptoms can be eliminated. You should apply ether, kerosene, turpentine, or tobacco oil on the tick's head, or light mosquito coils next to the tick to "anesthetize" the tick and let it loose on its own; or apply liquid paraffin or glycerin thickly on the tick's head to suffocate it and cause it to loosen its mouth. After disinfection, perform local anesthesia. Only after the anesthesia takes effect can the tick be removed with tweezers (note that the barbs in the tick's mouthparts cannot remain in the body). Then rush to the hospital for observation and treatment, and inject appropriate antiviral drugs. After the incubation period, the patient will be discharged from the hospital after there are no symptoms of the disease. If the body does not feel well after discharge, seek medical attention in time, and be sure to tell the doctor about the tick bite. Ticks Tick prevention: 1. To eliminate ticks on the surface of livestock and in livestock houses, you can spray insecticides such as DDT and DDT. Housing should be ventilated and dry, wall gaps should be filled and holes should be sealed, and livestock sheds and poultry houses should be cleaned or sprayed with pesticides to eliminate tick breeding places. 2. Strengthen personal protection. When entering forest areas or working in the wild, wear long-sleeved clothes, tighten the belt, cuffs, and trouser legs, tie a towel around the neck, and apply ointment on the skin to prevent tick bites. Take a shower and change clothes when returning from outside to prevent bringing ticks home. In addition, it is summer now, which is a good season for people to travel. Here I would like to remind everyone that when you go out to play in the wild, in addition to paying attention to the two points mentioned above, do not go to undeveloped scenic spots and try to avoid going to forests and wild areas with dense grass. This will prevent tick bites. Can ticks fly? Hard ticks live mostly in forests, bushes, open pastures, grasslands, and mountain soil. Soft ticks mostly live in livestock pens, wild animal caves, bird nests and cracks in people's homes, so ticks cannot fly. |
