My teeth itch and hurt, what's going on?

There are many reasons for tooth itching and pain. Not paying attention to diet can cause tooth irritation and periodontitis. Gingivitis, tooth allergy and other causes. When problems occur with your teeth, it is recommended to go to a regular dental center or a professional oral hospital for treatment according to the situation. You should also pay more attention to it in your daily life, reduce irritating foods, diversify your diet, do not be picky eaters, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits to supplement vitamins, etc.

Question 1

This is dentin hypersensitivity, which is caused by the lack of enamel. After the dentin layer is exposed, it is subjected to mechanical, chemical and temperature stimulation, causing a sore feeling. Dentin hypersensitivity can be caused by:

1. Frequent consumption of hard, fried, roasted, or baked foods.

2. The degree of enamel calcification is poor. Such as poor enamel development and calcification.

3. Bruxism. If you are used to chewing food on one side, severe wear of the teeth on one side may occur, resulting in tooth sensitivity. If you like to eat harder foods for a long time, dentin hypersensitivity is most likely to occur on the incisal edges of the upper and lower molars, lower front teeth, and the lingual side of the upper front teeth.

To prevent and treat dentin hypersensitivity, you should :

1. Chew food with teeth on both sides: this can prevent excessive wear of teeth on one side and hypertrophy of the chewing muscles on one side.

2. Eat less hard food: including fried food and baked products. Eating less here means not eating hard food every day. This is beneficial for treating dentin hypersensitivity and consolidating or improving the treatment effect.

3. Avoid stimulation from cold, hot, sour and sweet foods.

4. Chewing raw tea leaves to treat dentin hypersensitivity: Because raw tea leaves contain tannic acid, they can coagulate the protein in the dentinal tubules, thereby alleviating the symptoms of dentin hypersensitivity. The method is: place dry tea leaves on the sensitive area of the teeth and chew gently. Intended for use in occlusal areas of teeth with dentin hypersensitivity. Dried tea leaves are easy to obtain, economical, and have certain therapeutic effects.

5. Use raw garlic to treat dentin hypersensitivity at the neck of the teeth: Allicin has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and is used to treat dentin hypersensitivity, but its mechanism is still unclear. The specific method is to repeatedly rub the allergic area with the fresh cut surface of raw garlic.

6. Avoid irritation of the allergic area: During the treatment period, avoid irritation of the allergic area every time you brush your teeth. Especially when brushing teeth horizontally, the neck of the teeth is seriously damaged. Horizontal brushing should be corrected to avoid causing dentin hypersensitivity.
