What can't you eat if you have cerebral infarction

What can't you eat if you have cerebral infarction

There are more and more patients with cerebral infarction around us. In addition to the rational use of medication, nutritional conditioning is also very important for such patients. So what should patients with cerebral infarction not eat? This is an issue that many people are concerned about. A reasonable diet plays a very important role in the recovery of cerebral infarction. Generally speaking, foods high in fat should not be eaten. Foods with high blood lipids can cause blood viscosity, which is not conducive to the recovery of the disease. Let’s take a closer look.

1. Raw, cold, spicy and irritating food: such as white wine, pepper, spicy hot pot, etc., and hot food such as strong tea, mung beans, lamb, dog meat, etc.

2. Foods that are too fat, sweet, or too salty, which stimulate fire and produce phlegm: Eat less sweet drinks and cream cakes; avoid eating too much sauce, pickles, etc.

3. Smoking and alcoholism: Tobacco can damage the endothelium of blood vessels and cause small blood vessels to contract and the lumen to narrow, which makes it easy to form blood clots; drinking a lot of strong alcohol is harmful to blood vessels. According to surveys, alcoholism is one of the causes of cerebral infarction.

4. High-fat, high-calorie foods: If you continue to eat a high-fat, high-calorie diet for a long time, your blood lipids will increase, blood viscosity will increase, and arteriosclerotic plaques will be easily formed, which will eventually lead to recurrence of cerebral infarction. Avoid eating fatty meat, animal offal, fish eggs, etc., and eat less peanuts and other foods that are high in fat and cholesterol; avoid or use less whole milk, cream, egg yolk, fatty pork, fatty mutton, fatty beef, liver, offal, butter, lard, tallow, sheep oil, and coconut oil; do not use frying, stir-frying, or grilling.

Prevention of cerebral infarction is also important

1. Control your weight: Obesity is a risk factor for cerebral infarction. Your weight should be controlled by controlling your diet (especially high-energy foods) and physical exercise. The diet should be balanced, eat more vegetables, fruits and cereals, reduce the intake of saturated fatty acids and cholesterol, and control salt intake to less than 6 grams per day. Regular exercise can reduce the risk of recurrence by 20%. Do at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day, such as walking, jogging, Tai Chi, cycling, etc., 5-7 times a week. In addition, adjust your mindset, treat yourself and others correctly, and try to maintain a positive, open-minded, and relaxed mood. Antidepressant drugs should be added to treat depression.

2. Reasonable diet: Eat more potassium-rich foods such as oranges, bananas, spinach, potatoes, etc., which can lower blood pressure and prevent stroke. Calcium deficiency can cause spasm of small arteries and increase blood pressure. Intake of more than 1 gram of calcium per day can lower blood pressure. Magnesium has a similar effect to calcium. You should eat more whole grains, nuts, seaweed and other foods rich in magnesium, eat a light diet with less salt and sugar, and reduce the amount of salt to about 6 grams per day. At the same time, remember to drink plenty of water to dilute the blood and prevent thrombosis.

3. Emotional stability: An optimistic and stable mood and a comfortable and balanced mentality are important factors in preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
