Can I walk after femoral head surgery

Can I walk after femoral head surgery

There are many bones in the human body, and the femoral head is one of them. People's bones are easily injured under external stimulation. Femoral head necrosis is one of them, and femoral head necrosis is not uncommon in clinical practice. The occurrence of this phenomenon is closely related to many factors, and femoral head necrosis will also affect people's normal movements. Surgery can also treat femoral head necrosis, so can you walk normally after femoral head surgery?

1. Generally speaking, femoral head necrosis can be treated surgically, and the patient can return to normal six months after the replacement surgery. However, there may be complications after the surgery, such as pain, limited movement, acetabular wear, prosthesis breakage, prosthesis infection, fat embolism, pulmonary embolism, etc. It is recommended that bed rest can effectively avoid the damaged hip joint from bearing weight, prevent the newly replaced artificial prosthesis from sinking, and ensure better treatment effect of femoral head necrosis. After treatment of femoral head necrosis through replacement surgery, regular medical imaging examinations are required to avoid loosening, sinking, and falling off of the replacement prosthesis. If the artificial replacement prosthesis is found to have fallen off or sunk, you should communicate with the expert in time and go to the hospital for revision surgery as soon as possible to avoid sequelae of the treatment of femoral head necrosis.

2. If the surgery is done well, it will not affect activities. There are many things involved. You should know that surgery is a destructive treatment. Damage to nerves, tendons, blood vessels, meridians, periosteum, etc. will cause varying degrees of damage. The recovery time is too long and the motor function degenerates, which can increase the disability rate.

3. It should be noted that the focus of fracture treatment is not to waste time resting at home after fixation, but to use Chinese medicine to set the bones in time after fixation so that the callus can grow quickly at the break and heal in the shortest time. It is recommended to use traditional Chinese medicine external application treatment, because only Chinese medicine can promote the rapid growth of bone callus, surgery is not effective.
