What causes underarm eczema

What causes underarm eczema

Eczema is a very common disease, and most of them are accompanied by multiple reasons, leading to skin allergic reactions. The biggest feature is the conscious occurrence of severe itching and pain. The skin will also change from a smooth surface to uneven, and there will be some redness, swelling and small red spots. Patients should pay attention to the changes in the condition during the onset of the disease, or whether there is a history of this kind of genetic disease in the family. Eczema will appear in different places, and it will be rare in the armpits, but it is very painful.

Baby eczema

Babies often develop a skin disease called baby eczema during infancy. It is an allergic disease (or allergic) and is an acute or subacute eczema. It usually occurs on the baby's head and face. Generally, it can be cured in a short time. For severe cases, although the itching is unbearable, it will still heal by about 2 years old. Only a small number of cases will continue to accompany the child into childhood, which will also affect the child's physical and mental health.

Baby eczema

Baby eczema usually first occurs in babies aged 1-3 months. Neonatal eczema is also called neonatal eczema. Children with baby eczema are more likely to develop other allergic diseases in the future, such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, etc. Baby eczema is a common, multiple, and recurring skin inflammation. The cause of baby eczema is related to genetics and external factors.

The direct cause of baby eczema: The causes of baby eczema are complex, among which allergic factors are the most important. Therefore, a family history of allergic constitution (such as father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, grandfather, grandmother, brothers and sisters and other family members have eczema, allergic rhinitis, allergic dermatitis, allergic conjunctivitis, asthma, food allergies and drug allergies, etc.) can also cause baby eczema, which is also one of the causes of baby eczema.

There are other causes of baby eczema. If both of the child's parents have allergies, then the child has a 70% chance of having allergies. There are also other causes of baby eczema. If one of the parents has an allergic constitution, the child still has a 50% chance of having allergies.

The triggering factors of baby eczema: For babies who have eczema, many substances can trigger or aggravate the symptoms of eczema, such as protein in food, especially fish, shrimp, eggs and milk, contact with chemicals (skin care products, bath products, cleaning agents, etc.), wool products, chemical fiber products, plants (various plant pollens), animal leather and feathers, infections (viral infections, bacterial infections, etc.), sunlight exposure, high ambient temperature or wearing too warm or cold clothes, etc., can all stimulate the baby's eczema to recur or worsen. There is a special type of pediatric eczema that often occurs around the child's anus and is often accompanied by pinworm infection, called pinworm eczema.

Internal factors that cause baby eczema: There are also internal factors that make babies prone to eczema. This is because babies' skin stratum corneum is relatively thin, their capillary network is rich, and their endothelium contains more water and chloride, making them more sensitive to various stimuli, hence the name baby eczema.

Prevention of baby eczema:

It is very important to prevent baby eczema. Children's underwear should usually be made of soft and loose cotton or fine fabrics, not chemical fiber fabrics. Avoid wool fabrics and knitted clothes for both inner and outer clothing. It is best to wear cotton padded jackets, cotton-padded jackets, flannel shirts, etc.

Pay close attention to the child's digestive status and whether he or she is allergic to foods such as milk, eggs, fish, and shrimp. Breastfeeding mothers should avoid eating such foods that are likely to cause allergies.

Children should avoid irritation from alkaline soaps, cosmetics or perfumes. Do not receive BCG or other preventive vaccinations during the illness period. Avoid contact with patients with herpes simplex (commonly known as "fever sores") to prevent the development of herpetic eczema.
