How to get rid of damp insects at home

In summer we always talk about moisture-proofing, which is not necessarily true. It is not to prevent moisture, but to prevent a kind of woodlice that will appear in the room due to moisture. This kind of insect will destroy the bed frame, bed board, and may even appear in many other places. It will bite people and make red spots all over their bodies, so they need to be especially careful.

Environmental prevention: Transforming the living environment and destroying the breeding and habitats of bed bugs are the keys to eradicating bed bugs.

Manual capture: Knock on the bed frame, bed board, kang mat, straw mat, etc. to shake the bed bugs off and kill them, or use a needle or wire to pick out the bed bugs in the gaps and kill them.

Pouring with boiling water: Bed bugs cannot tolerate high temperatures, so boiling water can be used to kill all the eggs and adults. Bed frames, bed boards and other utensils where bed bugs breed can be moved outdoors, and the mouth of a kettle filled with boiling water can be aimed at the gaps. Slowly move the kettle to pour the water, making sure the gaps reach a high temperature to kill the bed bugs and their eggs. Clothes and mosquito nets that breed bed bugs can be soaked in boiling water.

Sun exposure: Clothes that cannot be soaked in boiling water can be exposed to strong sunlight for 1 to 4 hours and turned over. This will allow the bed bugs to be killed by the high temperature or by crawling out.

Prevent the spread: In rooms where bed bugs are active, luggage, furniture and other items that are moved (relocated or sold) must be strictly inspected and handled to prevent bed bugs from being brought in or out and causing spread.

If there are a lot of bed bugs in your bedroom, it is recommended that you buy a professional mattress protector that can wrap the mattress to prevent the bed bugs inside from crawling out or biting the human body through the fabric. Of course, the bed bugs outside cannot enter and parasitize.

Using the correct insecticide is key and ensuring complete control must be achieved by combining the use of an insecticide with thorough housecleaning and vacuuming. In severe cases, it may take several days after insecticide treatment to ensure full control.
