What are the conventional treatments for fibroids?

Fibroids generally grow slowly, most of them are benign, and they often occur under the skin. They are painless masses with hard texture, varying sizes, smooth surfaces, clear edges, no adhesion to surrounding tissues, and generally good mobility. So what are the conventional treatments for fibroids?

Fibroids are benign tumors derived from fibrous connective tissue. Due to the different components contained in fibroids, there are fibromyomas, fibroadenomas, fibrolipomas, etc. Because fibrous connective tissue is widely distributed in the human body and constitutes the gaps between various organs, fibroids can occur in any part of the body. Among them, the skin and subcutaneous tissue are the most common, and fibroids can also occur in the fascia, periosteum, nasopharynx and other mucosal tissues, as well as other organs such as breasts, ovaries, and kidneys. They vary in size and grow slowly.

Conventional treatments for fibroids:

(I) Benign fibroma: surgical resection and sent for pathological examination.

(ii) Fibromatosis: Fibromatosis that grows in areas susceptible to pressure and friction can be removed and then pathologically examined.

(III) Desmoid tumor: Local extensive resection, including the tumor and the surrounding 3cm tissue, and skin grafting, otherwise it is very likely to recur. There was a case of scapular ligament tumor, which required 4 operations in 5 years, and another case of abdominal wall ligament tumor, which required 3 operations in 4 years, all due to recurrence.

If fibroids are treated with ginsenoside Rh2, which contains 16.2% of ginseng essence, it will be of great significance in controlling recurrence and improving the treatment effect.

What foods are suitable for patients with fibromatosis?

Lotus root, Chinese cabbage, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, celery, tofu, lean meat, apples, pears, bananas, oranges, watermelons, melons, persimmons, walnut kernels, cooked peanuts, and pine nuts.
