What should I do if my teeth keep hurting

Teeth are our important chewing tools. We need to use teeth to chew anything in order to swallow and digest it. Everyone wants to have a good set of teeth, but at the same time we are often troubled by toothache, which is the pain in the teeth caused by various reasons. When we eat improperly, eat too much spicy or greasy food, or have cavities and tooth decay, it will cause pain. Toothache can really be life-threatening. So what methods can we use to relieve the pain when our teeth are still hurting? Here are a few methods.

1. Adjust your work and rest schedule:

A regular life is also very important for health. Ensuring adequate rest and sleep can promote recovery from illness. It is not advisable to eat sugar, biscuits and other starchy foods before going to bed.

2. Diet adjustment:

Eat more foods that clear stomach and liver fire, avoid alcohol and hot foods, avoid hard foods, and eat less sour, cold, or hot foods.

3. Hot and cold compress:

Avoid hot compresses. Hot compresses may relieve toothache, but they may also cause bacteria and inflammation in healthy teeth. Cold compresses can interfere with the impulse transmission of the toothache nerve.

4. Mental adjustment:

Pay attention to mental health, keep the spirit happy and stable, avoid emotional stimulation, irritability, and easy anger will induce toothache

5. Oral hygiene:

Paying attention to oral hygiene, developing a good habit of "brushing teeth in the morning and evening, rinsing mouth after meals", reducing or eliminating plaque, changing the oral environment, and creating clean conditions are important links in preventing caries

6. Protect teeth:

If the toothache is caused by dental trauma, try not to touch the injured tooth when eating. If the injury is minor, the chewing function can be restored by letting the tooth rest for a while.

7. Other methods:

Gargling with salt water continuously can greatly relieve the pain! Because salt water has a disinfecting effect; bite ginger on the painful area and hold it in your mouth while sleeping, the effect is obvious; bite a lime or tea bag, which can not only relieve toothache and swelling, but also help blood coagulation and promote healing.

8. Hospital visits:

If the pain does not stop, or if you have tried multiple methods and the pain persists for several days without relief, you should go to the hospital for treatment.
