Can wearing high heels make your calves thinner?

Can wearing high heels make your calves thinner?

Every woman owns a pair of high heels. High heels make women more feminine and more elegant. With the help of high heels, women's legs also look slimmer. Therefore, many people love it. High heels are also necessary for aristocrats. However, although high heels are good, they are not conducive to slimming calves. They may even make calves become thick. Moreover, women who often wear high heels are prone to arthritis and flat feet, and their legs are very prone to fatigue and pain.

1. Walking in high heels can exercise your calf muscles, but the heel height should be appropriate. Only medium-heeled shoes below 4 cm can activate the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles of the calf, and improve muscle strength and firmness. However, wearing high-heeled shoes over 4 cm for a long time will most likely only make the calves thicker.

2. High heels make your legs look longer, but they can cause a lot of damage

Although wearing high heels can make your legs look longer visually, I believe all girls are well aware of the pain behind it. Moreover, wearing high heels for a long time will concentrate the weight on the 1st to 3rd metatarsal bones of the forefoot, causing hallux valgus, flat feet, corns...you will never have beautiful feet again. Not only are the feet injured, but the knee and ankle joints are also injured due to uneven force, and the lumbar spine is also slowly suffering from pain in order to maintain balance.

3. When you stand and walk in high heels, the weight will be concentrated on the forefoot, causing pain. In the long run, this will cause excessive pressure on the soles of the feet, causing the arch tendons to be stretched, lose their elasticity, become loose, and cause flat feet. People with flat feet will feel tired and sore feet, and swelling on the soles and insteps of the feet after standing and walking for too long.

4. At the same time, women who often wear high heels are prone to arthritis. Because high heels are low in the front and high in the back, they will cause increased pressure on women's kneecaps and femurs, and increase wear on the joint surfaces. At the same time, due to uneven force, ankle sprains are more likely to occur when wearing high heels than flat shoes. Therefore, if you are going to walk a long distance, such as shopping, taking a walk, traveling, etc., don't wear high heels. It is more appropriate to wear comfortable flat shoes.
