There are nodules, erythema, or ecchymosis on the skin around the joints, which is more common in adolescents. Adult patients experience recurrent joint swelling and pain, accompanied by functional impairment or subcutaneous nodules.

2. Orthopedic diseases

If you have unilateral joint swelling and pain, which feels fluctuating to the touch and is accompanied by fever, you should go to an orthopedic doctor for treatment. People with swollen and painful joints with a history of trauma.

3. Hematological diseases

Joint swelling and pain mostly occur in young male patients with a history of hemophilia. If joint swelling and pain occur suddenly, hemophilic arthritis should be considered and the patient should be referred to the hematology department.

4. Infectious diseases

Patients with joint swelling and pain come from pastoral areas. If the joint swelling and pain develop acutely and are accompanied by fever, the possibility of brucellosis should be considered.
