Honey produced by bees after being fed with sugar?

Everyone knows that the nutritional value of honey is very high. It can not only whiten the skin and resist aging, but also improve the body's own immunity. It has many benefits to human health. Most people don’t know much about feeding white sugar to bees. They think that beekeepers are cheating by feeding white sugar to bees. In fact, this statement is wrong. This situation generally needs to be decided based on actual conditions.

How to tell if the beekeeper feeds the bees sugar

1. Eat pure and natural honey directly. It tastes sweet, soft and delicate, refreshing and soft. When you eat it, you will feel a distinct throat sensation, slightly spicy, and with a long aftertaste. Adulterated honey tastes sweet but is mixed with sugar or spice, has a weak throat feel, and a thin, short aftertaste.

2. Honey will generally crystallize in winter. The most suitable temperature for crystallization is 13-15℃. Some honeys will crystallize at around 20℃, and acacia honey will slowly crystallize below 5℃. The honey that was cut at that time was fresh, and the crystallization temperature had not been reached. It will crystallize as long as it is left in winter. Honey crystallization is a natural physical phenomenon. Many people mistakenly believe that honey crystallization means the addition of white sugar. The crystallization state of honey will be mentioned later.

3. After shaking the uncrystallized honey, there will be fine white foam on the surface. This is mainly because pure natural honey contains antibacterial hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide easily decomposes into oxygen at high temperature, making a layer of white bubbles on the surface of the honey. But after 1-2 days of standing, the bubbles will disappear automatically, but gas will rush out when you open the honey bottle!

To produce high-quality honey, a strong bee colony is needed, and a strong bee colony needs to have done a good job of breeding before the flowering period, so the answer is yes, but not during the honey-collecting period.

1. When there are few flowers blooming outside, the bee colony has less collecting activities. Feeding them sugar and pollen as a reward can excite the bees and speed up their reproduction, and also prepare for the arrival of the flowering season.

2. Feed the bees after the winter honey flowering period (after the winter honey), because honey is the food for bees to survive the winter. If the honey is taken away by humans, there will be no calories without sugar, and the bees and larvae will only freeze to death or starve to death. Therefore, beekeepers feed the bees with white sugar, and the honey will be consumed in the spring of the following year.

3. There is no nectar source outside. For example, in winter, the honey in the honeycomb has been eaten by the bees. If the cost of feeding honey is too high, feeding white sugar is the most economical.

4. There is a nectar source outside but the weather is bad (rainy season), and there is no honey in the honeycomb. The bees will die if they are not fed.

5. When breeding honey bees in spring, the bee colony is very weak after wintering. Feeding them with white sugar will stimulate the queen bee to lay eggs and strengthen the bee colony before a large nectar source arrives.

6. If there is a nectar source outside or there is honey in the honeycomb, the breeders will not feed white sugar, because the white sugar fed is a disaccharide, which needs to be converted before it can be absorbed, and it has a great impact on the lifespan of the bees.
