My ears itch when I lie down

Sleeping is important for everyone, and even the quality of sleep directly affects people's health. However, some people's ears itch obviously when they lie down, which is very distressing. They have to scratch their ears when they itch, but some people often scratch until blood marks are left, or even get infected with bacteria and cause inflammation. It can be seen from this that itchy ears still need to be taken seriously. Itchy ears when lying down are often related to eczema or infection of the skin, and medical diagnosis and treatment are required.

Humans spend one third of their time sleeping. It is a very happy thing to sleep soundly. However, it is very maddening to have itchy ears while sleeping. You can't scratch the itch in your ears, which makes you feel helpless and tired.

Why do ears itch when sleeping at night? How to deal with it?

According to ear experts, ear itching may be caused by skin eczema, fungal infection, irritation, or water entering the ear canal that is not dry, causing earwax to swell. Otitis media: The initial symptom is itching inside the ear.

Children often scratch their ears to relieve the discomfort. Otitis media is mostly caused by swimming, bathing, washing hair, or children crying or milk flowing into the ears without timely removal. If not treated, bacterial infection will break out and cause severe pain.

If an infection occurs, you will need medical help and treatment with antibiotics. Beyond that, there are many things you can do to stop the pain from getting worse or even prevent the problem from starting.

Earwax is swollen: Earwax is commonly known as earwax. When you chew food or open your mouth to talk, the flaky earwax in the ear canal will slowly loosen and be discharged unconsciously. Therefore, although earwax is constantly secreted, it will not accumulate more and more.

But sometimes, the earwax is harder and more abundant, forming cerumen blockage. If you are not careful when washing your hair, taking a bath or swimming, water will enter the ears, causing the earwax to swell. The hard earwax will expand due to moisture, irritating the skin of the external auditory canal, easily causing external otitis, and causing ear itching. If your ears are really itchy, you can also use a cotton swab dipped in sterilized saline to carefully wipe the ear canal, and then drop 4% boric acid alcohol or other local anti-inflammatory drugs.
