Lower abdominal pain on the tenth day after delivery

Lower abdominal pain on the tenth day after delivery

Childbirth is something that many women will eventually experience, and some people are full of fear of childbirth. It is normal to feel pain during childbirth. Everyone's physical fitness is different, so the degree of pain is also different. However, some women often experience lower abdominal pain after childbirth, and there are many factors to consider in this situation. So what causes lower abdominal pain on the tenth day after delivery?

1. Abdominal pain after delivery is a normal natural phenomenon within one week. Uterine contractions and lochia discharge can cause pain. If the pain does not subside after a week, heat coarse salt in a microwave, place it in a bag, and apply hot compress to the abdomen. You can also rub your hands together to warm them and place them on your abdomen, which has a certain analgesic effect. In terms of diet, it is recommended that mothers eat some warm foods, such as brown sugar, motherwort, and Corydalis, which can promote the circulation of qi and blood. If the above methods still cannot relieve the pain, acupuncture treatment can be used for conditioning.

2. Patients with severe postpartum abdominal pain accompanied by high fever and dark lochia need to seek medical attention promptly. Pay attention to a reasonable diet, mainly light food, and avoid eating foods that can easily cause abdominal distension. Patients with mild abdominal pain and who like massage can eat angelica ginger mutton soup. Patients with mild abdominal pain and who refuse massage can eat dried ginger, brown sugar, etc., and eat more foods rich in dietary fiber to keep the gastrointestinal tract unobstructed; appropriate exercise: After delivery, you can get up and move around a little, and gradually increase the amount of exercise. You can massage the abdomen to promote uterine repositioning and lochia discharge; Acupuncture treatment: Acupuncture treatment of Zhongwan, Xiawan and other acupoints, and moxibustion requires temperature control.

3. Postpartum abdominal pain is mainly caused by uterine contraction. When a woman who has just given birth experiences pain in her lower abdomen, she can feel a clear, hard spherical mass by touching her abdomen with her hand. This is because the uterus is contracting, which is medically known as normal uterine contraction, or postpartum contractions. When the pain is severe, it is postpartum uterine contraction pain, which is more common in pregnant women who have given birth many times or have a shorter delivery process. Nursing, Chinese medicine believes that this disease is mainly caused by poor blood and qi circulation, stagnation and pain. The clinical manifestations are of two types: blood deficiency and blood stasis. Blood deficiency type postpartum lower abdominal cramps, like to press, small amount of light-colored lochia, dizziness, tinnitus, dry stool, pale red tongue, thin coating, and weak and thready pulse. Blood stasis type: common symptoms after delivery are lower abdominal pain, refusal to press, small amount of lochia, and gray color. In this situation, you must maintain a happy mood, avoid various nerve stimulation factors, pay attention to keeping warm and windproof, especially protect the lower abdomen, prohibit cold water baths, and pay attention to changing body positions at any time and engaging in appropriate activities.
