How to heat up leftover rice in a rice cooker

Mexican style rice

Material

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 350 grams long-grain rice, 225 grams raw tomato paste, 1 teaspoon minced garlic, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 950 ml water

1. In a medium deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.

2. Add the rice and fry for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

3. Turn to low heat and add raw tomato sauce, garlic, salt, pepper and cumin powder and stir together.

4. Add water and stir, cover the pot and cook for about 20 minutes.

Ham and Corn Rice

Material

2 cups of white rice, 120 grams of ham, 120 grams of corn kernels, 80 grams of carrots, 100 grams of onions, 2 cups of water, a little chopped green onion, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of shallot oil

1. Cut the ham into small slices; wash and peel the carrots and onions, cut into small cubes and set aside.

2. Wash and drain the rice, put it into an electric rice cooker, add water and all seasonings, top with the ham slices, carrot cubes and onion cubes prepared in step 1, press the cooking button and cook until done.

3. After step 2 is cooked, turn on the rice cooker and mix well, then sprinkle with a little chopped green onion.

Sausage Glutinous Rice

Material

2 cups of glutinous rice 4 sorghum sausages 3-5 cloves of garlic a few slices of ginger 6-8 dried mushrooms

Wash the glutinous rice, the ratio of glutinous rice to water = 1:0.7, first cook the glutinous rice in a rice cooker (the amount of water used for new and old rice is different, the new glutinous rice uses less water 1: water 0.7; the old glutinous rice uses 1: water 0.8)

Wash the dried mushrooms and soak them in water

Slice the garlic, ginger, mushrooms, and sausage

Saute garlic slices, ginger slices, and mushroom slices in sesame oil, then add sausage slices and fry until cooked.

Pour the cooked glutinous rice in, season with rice wine and soy sauce, mix well and serve

After serving, sprinkle some chopped green onions and sesame seeds
