How to remove the marks left by cupping

Many friends who have had cupping treatments will know that a darker mark will appear after cupping, and this mark usually disappears in about a week.

It will disappear, so friends don’t need to worry too much about whether it will disappear or not. The darker the red mark left after cupping, the more moisture there is in that part of the body.

The marks from cupping usually disappear in about a week, and the time it takes to disappear varies depending on individual constitution.

Generally speaking, for ordinary people, the marks on the skin can be absorbed and disappear in about a week, but if there is a lot of cold in the body and the cupping marks are particularly deep, it will take longer, perhaps one to two weeks. If the purple marks on the skin have not faded one month after cupping, you can go to the hospital to consult a doctor and check whether your blood routine is normal.

Do not take a shower within 3 hours after cupping and do not rub the skin at the cupping site, which will help the marks fade. After 24 hours, you can use local hot compress or massage to help eliminate the marks. You can apply a hot towel to the affected area to promote blood circulation, accelerate the absorption of subcutaneous blood stasis, and promote the disappearance of purple marks. After the hot compress, you can gently massage the skin of the cupping area to enhance the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.

How to quickly remove cupping marks

1. Hot compress

If after cupping, there is insufficient Qi and blood, there is cold in the body, and menstruation is not smooth, blood stasis is likely to occur. Using a hot towel for hot compress can promote the smooth flow of Qi and blood, accelerate the absorption of blood stasis, and promote the disappearance of black marks.

2. Massage

Massage, like hot compress, can promote the dissipation of blood stasis, but you must pay attention to gentle massage force. It is best to apply some rose essential oil before massage, so that the blood circulation effect will be better.

Note: The above method is applicable after cupping for 12 hours. Within 12 hours of cupping, in order to avoid trauma to the cupping area, you should pay attention to rest more and do not apply local hot compresses or massage.

The cupping mark is tight, black and dark, which generally indicates blood stasis in the body, such as dysmenorrhea or insufficient blood supply to the heart. This mark may also appear if the affected area is severely exposed to cold. If the marks do not disappear after several days, it usually means that the disease has been going on for a long time. If large areas of black and purple marks appear when cupping, it means that a large area is affected by the wind and cold.

Purple marks from cupping accompanied by plaques generally indicate local cold and blood stasis.

The cupping marks appear as scattered purple dots of varying depths, generally indicating qi stagnation and blood stasis.

If the cupping marks are light purple with plaques, it generally indicates deficiency syndrome and blood stasis. If the spots are obvious at the acupoints, it indicates weakness of the related internal organs. If they appear at the Shenshu points, it indicates kidney deficiency.

The cupping marks are bright red, which generally indicates Yin deficiency, Qi and Yin deficiency, or Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire.

The cupping marks are bright red and scattered, usually appearing after cupping over a large area. They do not protrude above the skin. If they are concentrated on a certain acupoint or its vicinity, it indicates that the internal organs related to this acupoint are abnormal or there is a disease.
