I feel very hot when I sleep at night

The lowest body temperature of the day is when you wake up in the morning, and the highest is when you go to bed at night. This is a very regular thing, especially when the weather is warm. If we sleep indoors with thicker covers, we may sweat and always feel hot at night. So why do we feel hot when we sleep at night?

When you have a fever, you should measure your body temperature. If the temperature is higher than 37.1, it is also clinically known as a fever. If you have emphysema and have a cough with sputum, you need to rule out a lung infection. Then you need treatment under the guidance of a doctor. If the measured body temperature does not exceed 37.1, you don't need to be too nervous. You can observe and relax.

If it's not because the quilt you cover yourself with is too thick, then it should be night sweats.

Sweating is a kind of protection for the body, and there are many reasons for night sweats. In addition to the air circulation in the sleeping environment and whether the bedding is breathable, some diseases such as tuberculosis, endocarditis or malignant tumors such as lymphoma may cause night sweats. In addition, endocrine disorders, such as patients with diabetes and hyperthyroidism, as well as people with emotional disorders and autonomic nervous system disorders, may also cause profuse sweating at night.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, night sweats may be caused by qi deficiency or yin deficiency. If the night sweats are caused by qi deficiency, it is generally due to poor vasodilator function, which can be adjusted with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction. Night sweats caused by insufficient blood in the heart, palpitations and insomnia should be treated with blood nourishing and heart nourishing, and Guipi Decoction should be used for treatment. If it is caused by yin deficiency, the body will have dryness and heat, and there will also be night sweats. At this time, Liuwei Dihuang Pills can be used to improve it. Night sweats caused by yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire, and fever in the five hearts, should be treated with nourishing yin and reducing fire, and Danggui Liuhuang Decoction can be used. However, it is still recommended to be diagnosed by a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner before taking medicine to improve the condition.

In short, if you feel unwell, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a detailed and professional examination. Health comes first!
