What should be done for hepatitis B testing?

Hepatitis B testing generally requires hepatitis B two-pair-half and liver function tests. These tests can effectively and accurately diagnose whether the hepatitis B virus is present. Some friends have damaged liver function, but there are no obvious symptoms in their bodies, so everyone should have regular physical examinations in life so that they can understand their body's health status in a timely manner.

Hepatitis B two and a half

Hepatitis B two-pair-half test [1] is the most commonly used serum marker for detecting hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in domestic hospitals. There are three pairs of hepatitis B virus immunological markers, namely surface antigen (HBsAg) and surface antibody (anti-HBs or HBsAb), e antigen (HBeAg) and e antibody (anti-HBe or HBeAb), core antigen (HBcAg) and core antibody (anti-HBc or HBcAb). The hepatitis B two-pair-and-a-half test is also known as the hepatitis B five-item test. Its significance lies in: checking whether the person is infected with hepatitis B and the specific situation of the infection, and distinguishing between big triple positive and small triple positive.

Liver function series

Indicators include alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GT or GGT), transpeptidase (GGT), albumin (ALB), globulin (GLO), total serum bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL), prothrombin activity (PA), etc. Based on the above indicators, we can comprehensively judge the degree of liver cell damage, the liver's secretion and excretion functions, and the stage of the disease, whether it is mild or severe.

Complete blood test

Including white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin, platelets and so on.

Once the disease enters the stage of cirrhosis, changes in blood counts can often indicate the severity of the disease. For example, in the early stage of cirrhosis, the platelet count is slightly decreased; in the middle and late stages of cirrhosis, the spleen function is hyperactive and the whole blood volume is decreased; if the hemoglobin is simply decreased, attention should be paid to whether there is gastrointestinal bleeding.
