The day before yesterday, my daughter came home from school and told me that her teacher said that eating only meat and no vegetables can cause colorectal cancer. Can eating only meat and no vegetables really cause colorectal cancer?

Plant foods are natural food sources of dietary fiber, and dietary fiber is rich in vegetables and fruits, whole grains, beans, and fungi and algae.

Therefore, people who only eat meat and no vegetables for a long time have a much higher chance of developing colorectal cancer than people with a balanced diet. This is the main reason why people say "only eating meat and no vegetables will cause colorectal cancer".
