Fatty liver increases the risk of colorectal cancer

Fatty liver is a disease caused by excessive fat accumulation in liver cells due to various reasons, which seriously threatens people's health. The harm it causes to the human body is innumerable. Now there is a new item: fatty liver also increases the risk of colorectal cancer.

Severe colorectal polyps are precancerous lesions of colorectal cancer, and dietary factors have a certain relationship with the formation of colorectal polyps, especially the interaction between bacteria and bile acid, which may be the basis for the formation of adenomatous polyps. If the fat content in the diet exceeds 40%, the chance of forming colorectal polyps will increase; if the fat intake does not exceed 15% of the diet, the incidence of colorectal polyps will be lower.

A high-fat diet can increase bile acid in the large intestine. The most important cause of fatty liver is excessive intake of animal fat and red meat, which not only increases fat intake, but also causes the accumulation of carcinogenic bile acid in the intestines, leading to colon cancer.

From this point of view, fatty liver is no longer a "rich man's disease". It not only harms our liver, but may also affect high blood pressure, diabetes, high blood lipids, colon cancer, and further cause systemic diseases. Therefore, we must be vigilant and try to stay away from fatty liver. Patients with fatty liver should receive early treatment to avoid laying hidden dangers for colon cancer.

Tips: Being picky about food can help you stay away from fatty liver
