To prevent ovarian cancer, you should pay attention to your body

Because the ovaries are located deep in the pelvic cavity, which has a large expansion space, it is often difficult to detect ovarian lesions from the patient's appearance. The lesions do not have specific symptoms, are not painful, and do not cause symptoms such as vaginal bleeding like other gynecological diseases. Therefore, they are almost impossible to detect in the early stages. Once ovarian cancer patients experience pain and other discomfort, most of them have already spread to the entire abdominal cavity and are already in the middle or late stages.

However, if patients pay more attention to their bodies, they will still find some early symptoms, such as long-term abdominal distension, frequent urination, lower abdominal pain, etc. Once these minor symptoms are found, they should go to the hospital in time to avoid delaying the disease.

1. Long-term abdominal distension: an indescribable feeling of discomfort, as if intestinal bloating, overeating, indigestion, etc., vague and vague, and sometimes relieved by taking gastrointestinal medicine, but the patient often feels stuffy and bloated.

2. Feeling of pressure in the pelvic cavity and frequent urination: The lower abdomen and pelvis often feel tight, and you often want to go to the toilet, but the amount of urine is not much, which is not very normal, but the symptoms are not very obvious.

3. Lower abdominal pain and lumps: You may even feel swelling, and there may also be vaginal bleeding and weight loss. This is already the late stage.

Tips: Ovarian cancer incidence trend

Currently, there are an average of 20,000 new cases of ovarian cancer each year, and about half of them are not treated until they have metastasized, so the prognosis is extremely poor, with a 5-year survival rate as low as 15%. The scary thing about this cancer is that it "regardless of age", from infants and children to women over 50 years old. Generally speaking, about 1.57% of people aged 40 to 44 (15.7 people per 100,000 people) are infected; about 5.4% are over 75 years old, but malignant cancer often picks girls around 20 years old, and epithelial ovarian cancer only picks women over 50 years old.
