Diet therapy for toxic and side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in patients with esophageal cancer

The treatment of esophageal cancer generally requires cooperation with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Patients may experience a series of toxic and side effects, which may aggravate their pain. Houttuynia Cordata and Mung Bean Drink

Recipe: 50 grams of Houttuynia cordata (dried product) and 50 grams of mung beans.

Preparation method: First, pick out the impurities of Houttuynia cordata, wash it, dry it in the air or in the sun, chop it, put it into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water, boil it for 30 minutes, filter it, and take the concentrated juice for later use. Wash the mung beans, put them into a casserole, add water and boil it for 30 minutes. When the mung beans bloom, simmer them over low heat until they are soft and tender, add the concentrated decoction of Houttuynia cordata, and mix it into a thin paste.

Usage: Take twice a day, morning and evening.

Efficacy: Clears lungs and detoxifies, relieves heat and fights cancer. Mainly used for patients with esophageal cancer who have dry cough, chest pain and dysphagia after radiotherapy.

Adenophora and Job's tears porridge

Recipe: 15 grams of Adenophora ginseng, 40 grams of Coix seeds, 10 grams of Artemisia selengensis, and 15 grams of Radish seeds.

Preparation method: Put Adenophora Root, Artemisia selengensis and Radish Seed into a cloth bag, put them into the pot together with Job's tears, add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, then reduce heat and boil until Job's tears are cooked, remove the cloth bag and it is done.

Usage: Take in the morning and evening.

Efficacy: nourishing yin and strengthening spleen, promoting digestion and relieving adverse reactions. Mainly used for yin deficiency and spleen-stomach disharmony after radiotherapy and chemotherapy for esophageal cancer.

Purple Ganoderma Decoction

Recipe: 20 grams of Ganoderma lucidum sclerotium.

Preparation method: Wash and slice the Ganoderma lucidum sclerotium, put it into a pot, add appropriate amount of water, steam for 30 minutes, remove the residue and take the juice.

Usage: Take in the morning and afternoon.

Efficacy: replenishing qi and blood, benefiting the heart and calming the mind, strengthening the body and fighting cancer. It is mainly used to treat esophageal cancer patients with insufficient vital energy and weak body after chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
