What are the dietary adjustments for patients with bone cancer

After suffering from bone cancer, you should not only do conventional treatment, but also do a good job of dietary conditioning to assist in the treatment of bone cancer. So, what are the dietary precautions for bone cancer patients?

1. Bone cancer patients should eat more foods with anti-cancer effects, such as sheep blood, turtle, sea cucumber, oyster, sandworm, deer blood, or eat more foods with analgesic and swelling-reducing effects, such as asparagus, lotus root, otter meat, heron meat, sea turtle, sea snake, etc.

2. Since bone cancer patients have high protein decomposition, reduced anabolism and nutritional imbalance in their bodies, their protein demand increases. The total calorie intake of patients should be above 10 kilojoules per day, mainly in the form of high-quality protein.

3. Bone cancer patients should have a balanced diet. In addition to adequate high-quality protein intake, they should also eat low-fat and moderate amounts of carbohydrates. At the same time, they should also supplement vitamins, inorganic salts and cellulose, which can be obtained from fresh vegetables and fruits to help the body absorb protein, sugars and fats.

4. The diet of bone cancer patients should be light, and warm food is best. For example, those with qi deficiency should eat jujube and lotus seeds, those with blood deficiency should eat peanuts and walnuts, those with yin deficiency should eat kiwi and asparagus, and those with yang deficiency should eat long beans and ginger, etc.

5. Bone cancer patients can also eat foods that can prevent the side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, such as royal jelly, walnuts, kiwi fruit, white fungus, shiitake mushrooms, kohlrabi, pollen, etc.
