Can I take a shower after a meal?

Nowadays, people are very particular about hygiene and we take a bath almost every day. Many people do not pay attention to the time when taking a bath. They just take a bath when they have time for their own convenience. Some people take a shower after eating. But in fact, you should choose the right time to take a bath, otherwise it will have some bad effects on your body. So, can you take a shower after a meal?

Can't. Generally, you should not take a bath immediately after a full meal or when you are hungry, because hot water on the surface of the body will dilate the blood vessels, which will then affect digestion and absorption, causing hypoglycemia, and even dangerous situations such as collapse and fainting.

1. You should not take a bath after drinking. Alcohol inhibits liver activity and hinders the recovery of glucose in the body. When taking a bath, the body's glucose consumption will increase. If you take a shower after drinking, your blood sugar won't be replenished in time, which can easily cause dizziness, blurred vision, and general weakness. In severe cases, you may even suffer from hypoglycemia and coma.

2. You should not take a shower immediately after work. Whether it is physical labor or mental labor, you should rest for a while before taking a shower, otherwise it will easily cause insufficient blood supply to the heart and brain, or even fainting.

3. You should not take a bath when your blood pressure is too low. When the water temperature is too high, people's blood vessels dilate, and people with low blood pressure are prone to temporary cerebral ischemia and collapse.

4. You should not take a bath when you have a fever. When a person's body temperature rises to 38°C, the body's heat consumption can increase by 20%, and the body becomes weaker. Taking a bath at this time is prone to accidents.

5. Full body bathing method: The bather should lie on his back and soak in a bathtub or a specially designed mineral bath, with the water preferably at nipple level. The time depends on the situation. If the water temperature is above 42℃, the bathing time is 10 to 20 minutes; if the water temperature is 35 to 37℃, the soaking time can be more than 1 hour. Regardless of the length of time, you can use underwater massage, also known as bath massage, or you can use a soft brush to gently brush the area.

6. Half-body bath method: The bather sits half-way in the tub or pool, with the water level at navel or waist level as needed, and soaks in the mineral spring. Cover your upper body with a large towel to avoid getting cold.
