Abdominal distension and farting after meals

Abdominal distension and farting after meals

Nowadays, people pay more and more attention to their three daily meals. Not only do they eat on time, but also pay attention to the nutritional combination of the three meals, which is very beneficial to health. If we don’t pay attention to these things, it is very likely to cause stomach problems. Some people often experience bloating and farting after meals. So, what exactly causes abdominal bloating and flatulence after meals?

The usual diet should follow these requirements:

1. Eat regularly, three meals a day should be on time and in fixed quantities. Breakfast is a must. Many office workers are in a hurry every day. They either skip breakfast or eat it casually on the way. They eat lunch after mealtime and eat dinner as a midnight snack. This is very harmful to the stomach, disrupts the working rules and biological clock of the gastrointestinal tract, and increases the burden on the gastrointestinal tract.

2. The diet should be light and easy to digest. Avoid foods that easily produce gas, such as onions, cabbage, beans, sweet potatoes, honey, leeks, raw onions, raw garlic, etc. High-starch foods such as sweet potatoes, potatoes, taro, pumpkin and chestnuts are helpful for resisting cold and keeping warm, but eating too much of these foods will often cause gastrointestinal bloating, so avoid them. Do not eat spicy or irritating foods, as well as raw, cold, greasy, overly sweet, or hard foods, as they will increase the burden on the stomach and irritate the gastric mucosa.

Then some people say, if you can't eat them, then what should you eat: you can eat papaya if you have bloating after a meal. The digestive enzyme in papaya helps break down protein, and its cellulose can also promote digestion. Eating papaya several times a week can effectively regulate gastrointestinal function. Asparagus has a diuretic effect, which can help the body excrete excess water and relieve abdominal bloating.

3. Another point is that flatulence is caused by gastrointestinal dysfunction and imbalance of the body's flora. The increase of harmful pathogenic bacteria ferments in the body to produce gas, leading to abdominal distension. Eating Zangling Stachyose in the morning and evening can quickly feed the growth of beneficial bacteria, inhibit harmful pathogenic bacteria, control gas production, and eliminate flatulence.

4. Be careful not to sleep on the table or sit or lie down right after eating, as this will affect gastrointestinal motility and exhaust, and easily cause abdominal bloating. Therefore, you can take a walk 1-2 hours after a meal to do some proper exercise, which is beneficial for gastrointestinal motility and gas discharge.
