In addition to surgery, pancreatic cancer patients will also undergo chemotherapy. Not only will their bodies become weaker and weaker, but their immunity will also be low. They need care at this time. Patients with advanced pancreatic cancer need good psychological and dietary care to help them increase nutrition and promote recovery.

Psychological care for patients with advanced pancreatic cancer:

(1) Assess the anxiety level of pancreatic cancer patients and the causes of their anxiety and fear; encourage patients to express their disturbing thoughts and feelings.

(2) Teach pancreatic cancer patients how to reduce anxiety.

(3) Promptly list to patients cases of patients who have recovered from similar surgeries and encourage visits between patients who have undergone similar surgeries; at the same time, strengthen communication and contact with family members and their social support systems to try to help resolve the worries of pancreatic cancer patients.

Dietary care for patients with pancreatic cancer in the late stage:

(1) Monitor liver function, electrolytes, coagulation patterns, etc. in patients with pancreatic tumors

(2) For pancreatic tumor patients with ingestion disorders, arrange fluid replacement and nutritional supplementation according to the doctor's instructions to correct water, electrolyte, and acid-base imbalances.

(3) Record the amount of food eaten by pancreatic cancer patients, observe their digestion after eating, and give digestive drugs according to the doctor's instructions.

(5) According to the doctor's orders, pancreatic tumor patients should be infused with albumin, amino acids, fresh blood, platelets, etc. to correct hypoproteinemia, anemia, coagulation mechanism disorders, etc.

It can be seen how important the late-stage care of pancreatic cancer patients is. A reasonable diet can not only increase the patient's resistance, but also replenish the nutrients lost by the patient. In the late stage, the patient's psychology is very tense, so family members must ensure that the patient's psychological pressure and fear are resolved, and actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment to prevent the disease from worsening.
