Can kidney cancer be transmitted through semen?

People's living standards have improved a lot now, and their daily diet is rich in nutrition. However, the incidence of kidney cancer has increased instead of decreased. We have found in our clinic that the number of new cases of kidney cancer in the past five years has increased several times compared with 20 years ago. So can kidney cancer be transmitted through semen? Regarding whether kidney tumors are contagious, experts can say with certainty that so far, tumors are not contagious.

Although the cause of kidney tumors is unknown, data show that its onset is related to smoking, antipyretic and analgesic drugs, hormones, viruses, radiation, coffee, cadmium, thorium, etc. Specifically, there are five factors.
1. Smoking. Smoking is the culprit of all tumors. A large number of observations have found that smoking is positively correlated with the incidence of kidney tumors. The relative risk factor (RR) of smokers developing kidney tumors is 2, and people who have smoked for more than 30 years and smoked unfiltered cigarettes have an increased risk of kidney tumors.
2. Obesity and hypertension. A prospective study published in the New England Journal of Medicine on November 2, 2000 showed that high body mass index (BMI) and hypertension are two independent factors associated with an increased risk of renal tumors in men.
3. Occupation: It has been reported that workers in metal shops, newspaper printers, coke workers, dry cleaners, and petrochemical workers have an increased risk of kidney tumors and death.
4. Food and drugs. The survey found that high intake of dairy products, animal protein, fat, and low intake of fruits and vegetables are risk factors for kidney tumors. Coffee may increase the risk of kidney tumors regardless of the amount of coffee consumed. In animal experiments, it has been proven that kidney tumors are caused by female hormones (estrogen), but there is no direct evidence in humans. Abuse of antipyretic analgesics and diuretics may also be factors that promote the occurrence of kidney tumors.
5. Heredity. Some families have kidney tumors, which are found during chromosome examination. People with a high incidence of kidney tumors have defects in the third pair of chromosomes. Most familial kidney tumors occur at an early age and tend to be multifocal and bilateral. There is a rare hereditary disease, hereditary patchy hamartoma (VHP), in which 28% to 58% of patients develop kidney tumors. The above are the five major factors that cause kidney tumors. From them, we can know that kidney tumors are not viruses and are not contagious.
