How long is the latent period of uterine cancer?

Cervical cancer is a disease that women must be vigilant against. It takes about 10 years for a general cervical precancerous lesion to develop into cervical cancer. In the precancerous stage, abnormal cells do not invade the stroma, let alone metastasis. If it is discovered and treated actively at this time, the chance of cure is very high. However, after cervical cancer has become invasive cancer, it develops very quickly. If it is not treated, the patient may die within 2 to 5 years.

The occurrence and development of cervical cancer is a gradual process, and the incubation period is relatively long. Therefore, if women have a sense of crisis and go to the hospital for regular check-ups, it can be detected and treated early.

Symptoms of severe cervical erosion include increased leucorrhea, yellow color, sticky texture and odor. Inflammatory leucorrhea can cause itching if it stimulates the vulva for a long time. Leucorrhea can also vary in color, state and quality depending on the pathogen. Therefore, some patients with severe cervical erosion may have blood in their leucorrhea. Sometimes, they may have contact bleeding and irregular vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, accompanied by symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency.

In addition, because the cervical lymphatics are directly connected to the paracervical connective tissue, and severe cervical erosion has a wide erosion surface and deep infiltration, the inflammation can spread to the pelvic cavity through the lymphatic circulation, leading to pelvic connective tissue inflammation, which is pelvic inflammatory disease. At this time, symptoms of severe cervical erosion will also appear lumbar pain, lower abdominal distension and dysmenorrhea. The degree of severe cervical erosion symptoms varies according to individual physical differences, and usually worsens during menstruation, defecation or sexual intercourse.
