Is stage three uterine cancer serious?

Endometrial cancer is a malignant tumor originating from the endometrial glands, also known as uterine body cancer, most of which are adenocarcinomas. It is one of the three major malignant tumors of the female genitalia. In my country, endometrial cancer is much lower than uterine cancer, but in some developed Western countries, this disease is higher than uterine cancer and ranks first among gynecological malignancies.

Since it is stage III, it is serious. I wonder which parts of the tumor have not been removed completely? For patients with advanced stage like this, it is necessary to give timely and standardized and sufficient radiotherapy and chemotherapy, combined with immunotherapy and endocrine therapy, in order to achieve the best treatment effect. After all, endometrial cancer has a better prognosis than other gynecological malignancies.

Stages of uterine cancer:

Stage 0: refers to cancer cells (carcinoma in situ, CIS) are still confined to the cervical epithelial area.

Stage 1: Cancer cells are confined to the cervix. From stage 1, cancer has begun to invade the uterus, and is divided into two stages: IA and IB, depending on the extent of invasion.

Stage II: Cancer cells have invaded the upper two-thirds of the vagina or the connective tissue next to the uterus.

Stage III: Cancer cells have invaded the lower third of the vagina or the pelvic cavity.

Stage IV: Cancer cells have broken through the reproductive tissue or have expanded beyond the pelvic cavity, directly invading the rectum or bladder, or even causing distant metastasis.
