What causes bleeding in endometrial cancer

There is a current situation that many patients with endometrial cancer do not take it seriously after they become ill because they are not aware of the seriousness of the disease. Oncology experts point out that this is a mistake.

Vaginal bleeding is a common symptom of many diseases of the female reproductive organs. Vaginal bleeding caused by endometritis is characterized by continuous bleeding, but not much, and may also be accompanied by local pain or other inflammatory manifestations. The uterus may be tender during examination. Therefore, if vaginal bleeding occurs, endometrial cancer should be screened. So what are the other symptoms of endometrial cancer?

Endometrial Cancer Symptoms

1. Vaginal bleeding: The main symptom of endometrial cancer is vaginal bleeding, and the bleeding occurs early. Up to 80% of women complain of vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding in postmenopausal women is a sign of endometrial cancer. If an elderly woman who has stopped menstruating for many years suddenly has menstruation again, it is definitely not the arrival of a "second spring" in life, but it is likely a clinical manifestation of endometrial cancer. Bleeding from endometrial cancer occurs in the cancerous tissue of the endometrium, because this tumor tissue is fragile and rich in blood vessels, and it will bleed if it is slightly ruptured.

The manifestations of vaginal bleeding in endometrial cancer and cervical cancer are different. The latter has bleeding during sexual intercourse as a prominent symptom. Cervical cancer has a longer course of disease and is often asymptomatic in the early stages. The only diagnostic significance is vaginal spotting after sexual intercourse, or a small amount of vaginal bleeding after straining to defecate.

2. Increased vaginal discharge: About 1/3 of patients have this phenomenon. Leucorrhea is generally thick, turbid, and has a fishy smell. Leucorrhea is the liquid secreted from the vagina of women in their reproductive period and is a physiological phenomenon. Normal leucorrhea is white, transparent, and has no special smell. If there are abnormal changes in leucorrhea, it is likely that there is a lesion in the reproductive tract. Most people will think of inflammation, but it should be pointed out that abnormal leucorrhea is also an important clinical sign of gynecological tumors. Many gynecological tumors can show changes in leucorrhea in the early stages, and endometrial cancer is no exception. Due to the erosion and corruption of cancerous tissue, turbid and fishy leucorrhea is common in endometrial cancer.

3. Pain: As the tumor compresses the nerve trunk, it can cause pain in the lower abdomen, waist and legs. Most of these cases are in the late stage. It must be pointed out that endometrial cancer does not cause pain in the early stages.

4. Lower abdominal mass: When the uterus enlarges, a mass can be felt in the lower abdomen. A mass that extends beyond the uterus is more likely to be an adnexal or pelvic metastatic mass and is only seen in advanced patients.

I believe that through the above introduction to endometrial cancer, you have also learned about endometrial cancer. I hope that it can attract the attention of patients with endometrial cancer. Endometrial cancer is a terrible disease. You must receive treatment at a regular oncology hospital as soon as possible to get rid of endometrial cancer as soon as possible! In addition, it is also very important to actively prevent endometrial cancer on a daily basis.
