What is the cause of bile duct cancer

The gallbladder is an important organ in the human body. Once a disease occurs in the gallbladder, it will cause serious harm to the human body. Many people will suffer from gastrointestinal bleeding due to bile duct cancer. It is also very important to understand the cause of bile duct cancer. What is the cause of bile duct cancer? Let us take a look at the research results of experts on pathogenic factors.

The causes of the disease are related to the following aspects:

(I) Carcinogens

The pathogenic substances of human gallbladder have not been clearly identified, but animal experiments have suggested that gallbladder erosion may be the result of the combined action of gallstones and carcinogens. IbMkp et al. (1971) confirmed that feeding rats with dimethylaminoquinoline would cause gallbladder erosion only after cholesterol particles were implanted in their gallbladders. Gallstones may cause epithelial tissue to be susceptible to carcinogens due to damage to the gallbladder membrane. Therefore, 16Mdld5 (1978) proposed that bile stasis and infection are conducive to the conversion of bile acid into active substances, and Bacillus faecalis can reduce bile acid into compounds similar to the carcinogen 3-methylcholine, which has been shown to cause gallbladder cancer. Hvton (198t) reported a case of gallbladder cancer after 5 years of treatment with anorectic bile, further confirming that it may be caused by the conversion of bile acid into intermediate substances with carcinogenic activity.

(ii) Benign tumors

KdMka et al. pointed out that there is a direct relationship between benign gallbladder glands and gallbladder glands containing carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinoma, but the case reports of benign gallbladder tumors becoming cancerous are rare. Some people believe that if there are no stones, it is almost impossible to become cancerous. If gallbladder polyps also have stones, cholecystectomy should be considered. In recent years, gallbladder polyps and malignant transformation have attracted people's attention.

(III) Other factors

Rare factors associated with gallbladder cancer have been reported, such as intestinal proinflammatory diseases, chronic typhoid infection of the gallbladder, and family history.

The above is an introduction to the causes of bile duct cancer. I hope it will be helpful to you.
