How to diagnose early pituitary tumors

How to diagnose early pituitary tumors

Nowadays, many diseases often plague us, but we don’t know what tests to do to diagnose them. There are many patients with pituitary tumors now. Because of this disease, they bear a lot of pressure, so they must be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible. Today we will learn about how to diagnose early pituitary tumors.

We understand what causes pituitary tumors:

There are many factors that cause pituitary tumors, and endocrine disorders are one of them. If a pituitary tumor with secretory function secretes hyperhormone, it will cause an increase in the patient's PRL, GH, ACTH, TSH and other hormones, thereby causing menstrual disorders, gigantism, enlarged hands and feet, increased hair, rough skin and many other different symptoms. This is caused by endocrine disorders, which is a factor that causes pituitary tumors.

How to diagnose a pituitary tumor:

1. Clinical manifestation diagnosis: The patient's discomfort symptoms and physical changes after illness are the most basic information for diagnosis. Some subtle manifestations may serve as important basis for diagnosis and differential diagnosis.

2. Endocrine examination: Since most pituitary tumors have the function of secreting hormones, when the clinical manifestations are not obvious and imaging cannot indicate the presence of a tumor, the hormones of the pituitary tumor have already changed. Some pituitary tumor cases can be diagnosed simply by endocrine testing. For example, in most cases of ACTH cell adenoma, the tumor cannot be seen from imaging. Rare displaced pituitary tumors are located in the chest cavity, abdominal cavity and other parts, and are mainly diagnosed based on endocrine.

Dietary treatment for pituitary tumors

2. Adhere to a low-fat diet and eat lean meat, eggs, yogurt and other foods regularly.

3. Eat less spicy and greasy food, and avoid eating catfish.

4. Eat at regular times, in fixed amounts, and eat small meals frequently.

5. In order to avoid increased intracranial pressure caused by constipation, pay attention to giving enough water to prevent constipation during nursing.
