1. Ultrasound examination

Through frontal and lateral X-ray examinations of the neck, doctors can observe that the trachea is compressed, narrowed or displaced by the thyroid tumor, or that the tracheal cavity is not smooth or has soft tissue shadows, or that the soft tissue between the vertebrae and the trachea is significantly thickened.

2. CT and MRI examinations

How to diagnose thyroid cancer? CT and MRI are one method. This method can clearly show the location, boundary, lesion range, and relationship with surrounding organs and adjacent large blood vessels of the thyroid tumor, providing a basis for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid tumors. However, it should be noted that the classification of hot, warm, and cold nodules in thyroid radioactive imaging is related to the thyroid tumor's ability to absorb radionuclides.

3. Cytological and pathological examination

This is the most helpful method for diagnosing thyroid tumors. Cytological diagnosis is to puncture suspicious thyroid tumors with a fine needle, then extract a small amount of thyroid tissue smear and observe the morphology of tumor cells under an optical microscope. Pathological diagnosis is to remove a small part of tumor tissue for pathological examination. Patients have to endure the pain of surgery. This method is the most accurate diagnostic method.
