Fengyoujing is particularly effective in treating sore throats. After a burn occurs, the wound should be treated quickly and some medicines that can relieve the pain of the burn should be used. So can Fengyoujing be used for patients with burns?

Can I apply Fengyoujing on burns?

Fengyoujing can play a certain role in treating mild burns. The main ingredients of Fengyoujing are eucalyptus oil and menthol, as well as eugenol, methyl salicylate, etc. Among them, eucalyptus oil can be used to treat certain skin diseases and can also be used as a flushing agent for wounds and ulcers. When applied to the skin, menthol has a cooling effect and can relieve discomfort such as pain. Eugenol can kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, so Fengyoujing can relieve pain and itching, treat mild burns, and fight dizziness. When the skin is scalded by boiling water or oil, you can gently apply Fengyoujing to the affected area and reapply it every three or four hours. It can relieve pain, prevent inflammation, promote wound healing, and is less likely to leave scars.

If you are slightly scalded by boiling water, hot soup or fireworks, you can drop essential oil directly on the burned area, once every three to four hours. It has a significant analgesic effect, is less likely to get infected, and does not leave scars.

During festivals, people tend to eat more meat and less vegetables. Some people are prone to getting inflamed and having ulcers at the corners of their mouths. You can also use Fengyoujing at this time. After brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth every day, apply Fengyoujing on the affected area twice a day. If you apply it again before going to bed, the effect will be better. You can also use Fengyoujing to treat sore throat. Pour three to five drops into a spoon and swallow it slowly. It will work. This method is also effective for sore throat caused by dry cough.

Treatment methods after burns

1. Rinse the wound with tap water. Whether it is a scald caused by boiling water or steam, you should first lower the temperature of the scalded skin to reduce further damage to the scalded area. At the same time, flushing with water can also reduce pain. If the wound is not broken, soak it for about 10 minutes. If the wound has broken, do not soak it again to avoid infection. If the burn area is too large, soak the entire body in the bathtub. You can also use a towel dipped in water to apply to areas that cannot be washed with water.

2. Don't take off your clothes in a hurry. When the burn is in a place covered by clothes, don't take off your clothes in a hurry to avoid tearing the blisters caused by the burn. You can rinse with water to cool down first, and then carefully remove the clothes.

3. Deal with blisters correctly. If there are blisters on the burn site, whether to break them should be analyzed based on the specific situation. Generally, do not break them to avoid leaving scars. However, sometimes if the blisters are large or located at joints that are more easily broken, they need to be punctured with a sterilized needle. If the blisters have already broken, use a sterilized cotton swab to wipe off the liquid flowing out from around the blisters.

4. Bandage with gauze. Apply some ointment on the burn first, then bandage with clean gauze. Untie the gauze after two days and check the wound. If there is improvement, continue to apply some ointment and then bandage again. Generally, burns can heal within two weeks, but if the wound is found to be infected, you should seek medical treatment immediately.
