What is a cervical smear test? Used to screen for cervical cancer

The cervical smear test is a method for screening cervical cancer. It is now more commonly used in primary hospitals. At present, the cervical smear test is an important means of diagnosing and treating cervical cancer. When women undergo a cervical smear test, they should pay attention that they should not have sexual intercourse 24 hours before the smear test.

In real life, due to some bad habits or improper behavior, many women have a higher chance of developing cervical cancer. For this reason, doctors often recommend these high-risk groups to do a cervical smear test. What is a cervical smear test?

Cervical smear test is an examination performed by primary hospitals, and it can be adopted by primary hospitals. Since the sampling of cervical smear test is limited, the chance of obtaining the cervical canal is usually not high, which leads to a high chance of missed diagnosis.

The cervical smear test is currently widely used to check for the terrible disease of cervical cancer. It is simple and effective.

Generally, there may be no symptoms in the early stages because early diagnosis is an important step in treating cervical cancer. Generally, a cervical scraping or vaginal cytology examination of the endocervical smear can be performed.

Inspection notes:

1. Try to avoid sexual intercourse 24 hours before the scraping examination.

2. It is recommended that women do not douche the vagina or use vaginal medications within 24 hours to 48 hours before planning a cervical smear test, and usually do not have a vaginal examination.

3. If you have cervical inflammation, you should treat it first and then check it to avoid the diagnosis being affected by a large number of white blood cells and inflammatory cells.

4. The examination should be performed during the non-menstrual period as much as possible.

5. Women who have had sex should undergo cervical smear tests, whether married or unmarried. Because all women who have had sex, regardless of age, are likely to develop cervical cancer, and women who marry early or have sex too early are more likely to get cervical cancer. In addition, women who give birth too early, have many sexual partners, give birth frequently, or smoke are all at a particularly high risk of developing cervical cancer.
