How long can you live with bone cancer? This is related to the pathological stage

The survival time of bone cancer patients is closely related to the pathological stage. If bone cancer is treated actively and standardized in the early stage, the survival period can reach more than 5 years. If it is in the middle or late stage of bone cancer, the survival period is generally about 1 year.

1. Early bone cancer patients may live for more than 5 years . If bone cancer is discovered early, there are usually only mild bone pain symptoms and no metastasis occurs. At this time, surgery can be performed on the basis of chemotherapy. There is a chance to achieve clinical cure, and the patient's survival period can be more than 5 years. If there is no recurrence within 5 years, theoretically, long-term survival is possible.
2. Patients with mid- to late-stage bone cancer can live for about 1 year . Most bone cancers are already in the mid- to late-stage when they are discovered. At this time, there is often obvious local infiltration and even distant metastasis. Although surgical treatment is also possible, it cannot be a complete cure. At this time, the patient's survival period will be significantly shortened, generally about 1 year. If the condition is too serious, the survival period may be less than 1 year.
