What tests should lung cancer patients take? These six tests are needed

When the body shows symptoms suspected of lung cancer, the patient should go to the hospital for examination in time. For the diagnosis of lung cancer, the current examination methods include X-ray examination, CT examination, magnetic resonance imaging, sputum exfoliated cell examination, fiberoptic bronchoscopy and percutaneous lung puncture biopsy. Once diagnosed with lung cancer, the patient should actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment. The earlier the lung cancer is treated, the better the effect.

Lung cancer can endanger the patient's life, and the treatment of the disease also brings a heavy burden to the patient's family. Therefore, when it comes to lung cancer, everyone will be very afraid. However, if lung cancer can be detected in time at an early stage, the cure rate is still relatively high. Therefore, the examination of lung cancer is also a matter of great concern to everyone. So what examinations should lung cancer patients take?
1. X-ray examination
X-ray examination is a necessary examination item. Although there are many new examination methods, the role of X-ray examination is irreplaceable. It is currently the most economical and effective examination method. Abnormalities in most lung cancers can be found in X-ray chest films.
2. CT examination
CT examination can serve as a supplement to X-ray examination. The results of CT examination can clearly show the lungs. In particular, some smaller tumors can be found through CT examination, but may not be found by X-ray examination. Therefore, if conditions permit, patients are recommended to undergo this examination.
3. Magnetic resonance imaging
Magnetic resonance imaging can display the condition of the tumor from multiple angles. If a large mass is found in the mediastinum through CT examination, an MRI examination can be performed at this time. This examination can clearly show the relationship between the tumor and the surrounding tissues, the degree of invasion, and determine the nature of the tumor.
4. Sputum exfoliated cell examination
Examining the patient's sputum can also help diagnose lung cancer, and this method is very simple and easy. This examination is mainly to find out whether there are exfoliated cancer cells in the patient's sputum. During the examination, you must pay attention to the quality of the sputum specimen. Generally, it is required to collect the first deep cough sputum in the morning, and the examination should be carried out for at least 3 consecutive days.
5. Fiberoptic bronchoscopy
Fiberoptic bronchoscopy is of great value in the diagnosis of lung cancer. It can see lung lesions, take living tissue for pathological examination, and understand the location of the lesions, thus providing a basis for the next step of treatment. It has now become a routine examination method for lung cancer.
6. Percutaneous lung puncture biopsy
This examination is relatively safe and has high value in the diagnosis of tumors. It is usually performed under the guidance of X-ray fluoroscopy, CT or B-ultrasound.
