Is upper abdominal pain gastric cancer? Further examination is not necessarily required

Upper abdominal pain is not necessarily gastric cancer. It may be caused by gastrointestinal diseases. Upper abdominal pain alone cannot be diagnosed as gastric cancer. In addition to abdominal pain, gastric cancer often manifests as weight loss. You should go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination and differential diagnosis before you can be diagnosed and receive targeted treatment.

Gastric cancer is a disease that seriously affects the life and health of patients. It usually has no symptoms in the early stage of onset and is difficult to attract people's attention. However, once symptoms appear, it is in the middle or late stage, which makes people unprepared. At the same time, half of new gastric cancer cases occur in China, but the detection rate is only a small part, which is not conducive to the prevention and early treatment of gastric cancer. So is the dull pain in the upper abdomen gastric cancer?
Upper abdominal pain does not mean gastric cancer. It may also be caused by the patient's unreasonable diet for a long time, or eating too cold food. Of course, if the patient is worried, he can go to a regular hospital for further examination, and then choose a targeted way to treat and control it after clarifying the cause.
Upper abdominal pain is not necessarily gastric cancer, because generally speaking, some people often have upper abdominal pain. Such people are more likely to suffer from stomach spasm and gastritis. This is usually caused by irregular diet. Upper abdominal pain is related to eating habits. For example, eating spicy and irritating foods frequently, or eating raw and cold foods frequently will cause upper abdominal pain. In addition, cholecystitis and pancreatitis can also cause upper abdominal pain.
Dull pain in the upper abdomen does not necessarily mean that you have gastric cancer. Most patients with early gastric cancer actually do not have obvious symptoms. Only a few people will have symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting, or upper gastrointestinal symptoms similar to ulcer disease. However, as the tumor slowly grows and affects gastric function, obvious symptoms will appear. The longer the time, the more severe the pain will be. As the weight gradually decreases, it is the most common clinical symptom of progressive gastric cancer. Patients often have clear upper gastrointestinal symptoms, such as upper abdominal discomfort and fullness after eating. As the disease progresses, the upper abdominal pain worsens, and there is a decrease in appetite and fatigue. Depending on the location of the tumor, the patient's symptoms will be different.
If you are suspected of having gastric cancer, general examinations for gastric cancer include abdominal color Doppler ultrasound examination, X-ray barium meal examination and fiber gastroscopy examination. To finally confirm gastric cancer, a biopsy and puncture examination are also required. If gastric cancer is finally confirmed, surgery is the first choice for early gastric cancer. In order to improve the cure rate of patients, patients can consider taking anti-tumor Chinese medicine for long-term adjuvant treatment.
