How to check for gastric cancer? Mainly through gastroscopy

If gastric cancer is suspected, we first need to interview the patient and do relevant physical examinations. An experienced doctor can basically make a preliminary diagnosis based on the patient's performance. However, to confirm gastric cancer, a gastroscopy is required. Current gastroscopy includes ordinary gastroscopy, electronic gastroscopy, and capsule gastroscopy. In addition, the examination of gastric cancer also involves some examinations for gastric cancer staging.

In today's society, the incidence of gastrointestinal diseases is increasing year by year due to factors such as diet, lifestyle, environment, and psychological stress. Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor of the stomach. It may not have any typical symptoms in the early stage. There may be a history of upper abdominal distension, dull pain, hiccups, and indigestion. So how is gastric cancer checked?
Gastric cancer is mainly diagnosed through gastroscopy. If gastroscopy reveals obvious ulcers or obvious neoplasms in the stomach, a local pathological examination is needed. If cancer cells are found in the local specimen for pathological examination, it can be confirmed as gastric cancer.
Gastroscopy has significantly improved the diagnosis rate of early gastric cancer due to the advanced development of fiber endoscopy technology. Early detection of gastric cancer can be achieved through surgery, which greatly increases the survival rate of patients. Gastroscopy is the key to improving the early detection rate of gastric cancer. Data show that the combined use of gastroscopy and biopsy in diagnosing gastric cancer has high sensitivity, specificity and accuracy.
When gastric cancer patients reach the late stage, the most effective thing is CT examination, which is mainly used to understand the metastasis of gastric cancer surrounding tissues, liver and other organs, or to find the situation of lymph nodes around cancer. CT examination is very effective. Gastrointestinal imaging technology is a common method for diagnosing gastric cancer. The main method is to use gas-barium double contrast to make a diagnosis by observing the gastric mucosa and filling phase. When suffering from early gastric cancer, the gastric mucosa will show certain abnormalities.
After gastric cancer is confirmed, if it is early stage, surgical resection is actively adopted at this time, and then routine pathological examination and immunohistochemistry examination are performed, and then corresponding chemotherapy surgery plus standard chemotherapy after surgery are performed according to the examination results. There is still a chance to completely cure early gastric cancer. Patients with gastric cancer should pay attention to their personal eating habits, mainly liquid, easy to digest, high-protein foods, such as lean meat porridge, milk, and steamed egg foods, and try not to eat spicy and irritating foods.
