Will liver cancer cause nosebleeds? Pay attention to these

Will liver cancer cause nosebleeds? Nosebleeds are a very common phenomenon. For example, excessive liver fire, impatience, dry weather, etc. can all lead to nosebleeds. Although this symptom is relatively common, we should not ignore it. Liver cancer is one of the malignant tumors with a relatively high incidence rate in clinical practice. So, will liver cancer cause nosebleeds?

Liver cancer can cause nosebleeds, because liver cancer causes abnormal coagulation function, which makes spontaneous bleeding more likely. You may have repeated nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or repeated subcutaneous bruises. Of course, nosebleeds alone do not mean there is an infection. Liver cancer can not only cause bleeding, but also cause pain in the right upper abdomen. If you have the above symptoms, you can do a liver and gallbladder color Doppler ultrasound examination.

Symptoms of early liver cancer are often non-specific, while those of mid- to late-stage liver cancer are more common, with common clinical manifestations including pain in the liver area, abdominal distension, poor appetite, fatigue, weight loss, progressive hepatomegaly or upper abdominal mass, etc. Some patients have low-grade fever, jaundice, diarrhea, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, acute abdomen after liver cancer ruptures, etc. There are also cases where the symptoms are not obvious or only manifest as symptoms of metastatic lesions.

Early liver cancer often has no obvious positive signs or only has signs similar to those of cirrhosis. In the middle and late stages of liver cancer, there are usually signs such as liver enlargement, jaundice, and ascites. In addition, patients with cirrhosis often have liver palms, spider nevi, male breast enlargement, lower limb edema, etc. When extrahepatic metastasis occurs, corresponding signs of each metastatic site may appear. Common ones include upper gastrointestinal bleeding, liver cancer rupture bleeding, liver and kidney failure, etc.

Patients with secondary liver cancer often complain of discomfort or dull pain in the upper abdomen or liver area. As the disease progresses, patients experience fatigue, poor appetite, weight loss or fever. During physical examination, an enlarged liver or hard nodules with a hard texture and tenderness can be felt in the upper and middle abdomen. Late-stage patients may develop anemia, jaundice and ascites.

Individualized comprehensive treatment according to the different stages of liver cancer is the key to improving the efficacy; treatment methods include surgery, hepatic artery ligation, hepatic artery chemoembolization, radiofrequency, cryosurgery, laser, microwave, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Biological treatment and traditional Chinese medicine are also widely used in the treatment of liver cancer. Surgery is the first choice for the treatment of liver cancer and is also the most effective method. Surgical methods include radical liver resection, palliative liver resection, etc.
