What are the ways to prevent cervical cancer? What tests should be done to prevent cervical cancer?

Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in gynecology. The age distribution of patients is bimodal, 35-39 years old and 60-64 years old, with an average age of 52 years old. There are no symptoms in the early stage. As the disease progresses, patients may experience abnormal vaginal bleeding. Since young women are in the sexually active period, their estrogen levels and sexual intercourse frequency are higher, so they are more likely to have bleeding during sexual intercourse as the first symptom. In addition, increased vaginal discharge is also a common symptom of cervical cancer, and about 80% of cervical cancer patients have this symptom.

Clinical follow-up shows that it takes about 10 years for general cervical precancerous lesions to develop into cervical cancer. From this perspective, cervical cancer is not terrible, it is a preventable and curable disease.

The key to prevention is:

Advocate late marriage, late childbearing and family planning.

2. Have regular gynecological examinations to promptly detect and treat cervical precancerous lesions and stop the development of cervical cancer.

3. Pay attention to hygiene and enhance self-care awareness.

4. Pay attention to the early symptoms of cervical cancer, such as contact bleeding and bloody leucorrhea, and seek medical attention in time. Women over 30 years old should have regular cervical smear examinations, and those with abnormalities can undergo colposcopy and biopsy for further diagnosis.

5. Stay away from risk factors for cervical cancer. Many sexually transmitted diseases can lead to cervical cancer, especially genital warts. Therefore, women with many sexual partners are at high risk of cervical cancer. In addition, women who have sex too early, too much, give birth too early, too much, too frequently, such as promiscuity, promiscuity, malnutrition, long-term oral contraceptives, family inheritance, gynecological examination equipment, etc.

6. Pay attention to the prevention and treatment of chronic cervical diseases, and actively treat cervical erosion, cervical condyloma, cervical atypical hyperplasia, etc. Pay attention to postpartum health care, prevent cervical lacerations and repair them in time.
