What are the methods of interventional nursing for liver cancer? Three interventional nursing measures for liver cancer

Usually, after liver cancer is discovered in the early stage, if the patient's physical condition is poor and cannot be treated with surgery, interventional treatment can be used for treatment. After a long period of observation, interventional treatment can effectively alleviate the condition and extend the time of about three years. However, this treatment method also has certain side effects, and liver cancer care needs to be done well.

Next, let’s look at the care measures for liver cancer after intervention.

Measure 1: Psychological care

After learning about their condition, most patients tend to feel pessimistic and disappointed, and experience great psychological pressure, which can lead to a loss of confidence in life, thus affecting the effectiveness of treatment. Therefore, the feasibility and safety of interventional treatment, as well as possible situations that may occur during the procedure and reactions that may occur after treatment, can be explained to patients so that they can be fully prepared mentally.

Measure 2: puncture care

During interventional treatment, the puncture point can often be bandaged with elastic tape for one day and pressed with a sandbag for more than six hours to prevent subcutaneous bleeding and hematoma at the puncture point. After one day, loosen the elastic tape and cover with sterile gauze for about three days to avoid soaking. And be sure to closely observe the dressing of the puncture site, strengthen inspections, and pay attention to whether the dorsalis pedis artery fluctuations have weakened or disappeared, whether the skin color is pale, and whether the temperature has dropped.

Measure 3: Fever care

Because the patient is weak, the disease causes the patient's immunity to gradually decrease, and the use of chemotherapy drugs suppresses the hematopoietic function, which can easily cause local or systemic infection. Therefore, physiological hygiene care must be done well, the equipment must be strictly disinfected and sterilized, and aseptic operation must be performed. After the operation, antibiotics are used to prevent infection. If the body temperature is below 38.5 degrees, it will generally subside on its own after a week.

Although interventional treatment of liver cancer also has certain toxic side effects, the adverse reactions are far less than those of surgical treatment. However, do not think that nursing is useless, otherwise it may lead to recurrence of the disease.
