How is early lung cancer treated? 3 treatments for early lung cancer

In China, lung cancer is a disease with a high incidence rate, which brings great pain to patients and their families. Therefore, early treatment of lung cancer is particularly important. Lung cancer patients do not know what method to use when receiving treatment. Depending on the patient's condition, the following three methods are often used in clinical treatment:

1. Radiation therapy

Since the cancer cells of early lung cancer do not spread and metastasis is relatively slow, the lesions at this stage are mainly local invasions, and radical treatment is often used. For patients with small cell carcinoma, radiotherapy is the best treatment method, which requires irradiation of the bilateral supraclavicular areas of the mediastinum, the primary lesion, and even the liver and brain, while using drugs for adjuvant treatment.

2. Preoperative radiotherapy

Preoperative radiotherapy is also one of the treatments. This therapy is mainly used to prevent tumor spread during surgery and improve the surgical resection rate. For patients who have no difficulty with surgical treatment, less-fractionated, high-dose radiotherapy can be performed before surgery; for patients with large tumors or external invasion, who may have difficulty in surgical resection, conventional fractionated radiotherapy is required.

3. Radiotherapy after surgery

Among the issues that patients are concerned about in the treatment of early-stage lung cancer, radiotherapy after surgery cannot be ignored. This therapy is mainly used for patients whose preoperative estimates are insufficient and whose tumors are not completely removed after surgery. In specific treatment, silver clips need to be placed at the local residual lesions to facilitate accurate positioning during radiotherapy.

In preoperative radiotherapy, it is generally appropriate to perform radiotherapy about 50 days before surgery, and the longest time from surgery should not exceed three months.

I hope that all patients can maintain a good mood every day, which is also very helpful for treatment. At the same time, I also hope that patients will actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment. As long as patients cooperate with appropriate treatment, they can also recover. Lung cancer is not as terrible as everyone knows. Finally, I wish the patient a speedy health.
