What are the symptoms of advanced liver cancer? These methods can treat advanced liver cancer

Overview

Common symptoms of advanced liver cancer include liver pain, abdominal distension, limb fatigue, weight loss, progressive liver enlargement or upper abdominal mass; some patients may have low-grade fever, jaundice, loss of appetite, diarrhea, fever, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, lower limb edema and ascites, etc.

Treatment:

Surgery is the most effective method for treating liver cancer. Surgery methods include radical liver resection and palliative liver resection.

Radiotherapy: Patients with good general condition, good liver function, no cirrhosis, no jaundice, ascites, no splenomegaly and esophageal varices, no metastasis, who are not suitable for surgical resection or have recurrence, can be treated with radiotherapy.

TCM treatment: It uses the method of syndrome differentiation and treatment and both attack and supplement, often combined with other therapies. It can improve the body's disease resistance, improve systemic symptoms, and alleviate the adverse reactions of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Dietary Note:

Liver cancer patients should not eat too much greasy food, and should not eat hot or cold vegetables, so as not to cause intestinal infection and increase damage to the liver. For patients with good liver function, they should eat high-protein, high-vitamin foods, and the amount of carbohydrates should be moderate, not too much.

For patients with liver decompensation, especially those with jaundice, most of them have a decreased appetite and dislike greasy food. At this time, the diet should be light and maintain sufficient calories. However, attention should be paid to proper protein supplementation, such as milk, eggs, lean meat, fish, tofu, mushrooms, etc.

For patients with liver failure and hepatic coma, a low-protein diet must be given to prevent protein from producing too much ammonia in the intestines, thereby increasing the toxicity of ammonia to the brain during coma.
