Is it normal to have strong fetal movements a few days before delivery?

If a pregnant woman often feels fetal movement during pregnancy, although it will be painful, she will still be very excited because at least she knows that the fetus is moving in the belly. Sometimes, pregnant women may not feel fetal movement for a long time and they will be very worried. In fact, these are all normal phenomena. Some pregnant women have particularly strong fetal movements before giving birth. Is this normal?

Is it normal to have strong fetal movements a few days before delivery?

Fetal movement is the movement of the fetus in the mother's body, and it is also a way for the fetus to greet the mother. The fetus has regular activities every day in the mother's body, but these activities decrease before delivery. So what changes occur in fetal movements before delivery? Is the fetal movement still strong before delivery?

1. Fetal movement changes are obvious

During the period when expectant mothers are about to give birth, they can clearly feel the baby's restlessness, which is also a sign of imminent birth. Although the baby's fetal movement will be greatly reduced during this period, the pregnant mother can still clearly feel the baby dancing in the belly. Generally speaking, the location of fetal movement will be concentrated under the mother's ribs, which may be on the left or the right, and the specific location needs to be determined based on the position of the fetus.

2. The fetus moves violently before falling asleep

According to surveys, many pregnant mothers rarely feel fetal movements during the day when they are about to give birth, but when they are ready to go to bed at night, the fetal movements become very frequent and may even prevent the expectant mothers from falling asleep. Some pregnant mothers before delivery also said that the number of fetal movements is still very frequent, and the amplitude of fetal movements has not weakened. In fact, whether it is reduced or the same as before, it is not the point. As long as there is no sudden change in fetal movement, it means that the baby is very healthy.

After learning this, I believe everyone understands the fetal movements in the few days before delivery. In fact, the reason why fetal movements decrease before delivery is that the baby has grown larger after nine months of development and occupies a much larger space in the uterus, which limits the baby's space for movement and makes it impossible to roll over.
