What is the difference between anti-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory?

In our daily life, we often hear people talking about anti-inflammatory drugs and anti-inflammatory drugs. Generally, these two drugs are essential medicines for every household. Many people are not particularly clear about anti-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory drugs. Some people even think that anti-inflammatory drugs and anti-inflammatory drugs are the same kind of drugs. In fact, there is a difference between the two. Most people are not very clear about the difference between anti-inflammatory drugs and anti-inflammatory drugs. So what is the difference between anti-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory drugs?

Anti-inflammatory drugs are medicines used to treat inflammation, a response to tissue damage. There are two major categories of anti-inflammatory drugs: one is steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and the other is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which are referred to as antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs in medical practice, such as aspirin.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are a class of anti-inflammatory drugs that do not contain steroidal structures. Since aspirin was first synthesized in 1898, more than 100 types and thousands of brands of NSAIDs have been launched on the market in the past 100 years. This type of drug includes aspirin, acetaminophen, indomethacin, naproxen, naproxen, diclofenac, ibuprofen, nimesulide, rofecoxib, celecoxib, etc. This type of drug has anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, analgesic, antipyretic and anticoagulant effects, and is widely used in clinical practice to relieve osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, various fevers and various pain symptoms.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs exert their anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, inhibiting the aggregation of leukocytes, reducing the formation of bradykinin, and inhibiting platelet aggregation. It is effective in controlling the symptoms of rheumatic and rheumatoid arthritis.

Drug Introduction

Antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs are a class of drugs that have antipyretic, analgesic, and most of them also have anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic effects. Because their chemical structure and anti-inflammatory mechanism are different from those of glucocorticoid steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (SAIDS), they are also called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS).

If it is for infectious inflammation caused by infection, anti-inflammatory drugs actually refer to antibiotics. If the inflammation is not caused by infection, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents or steroids are used medically to suppress the inflammatory response.

In China, calling antibiotics anti-inflammatory drugs has exacerbated the abuse of antibiotics to a certain extent.

Inflammation is what we usually call "inflammation". It is a basic pathological process dominated by defense response that occurs when biological tissues are stimulated by certain damaging factors such as trauma, infection, etc. The local manifestations of inflammation are redness, swelling, heat, pain and functional impairment, and are also accompanied by systemic reactions such as fever and changes in peripheral blood leukocyte counts. Normally, inflammation is beneficial and is the body's automatic defense response (although the patient may feel pain and other discomfort). But sometimes, inflammation can also be harmful, such as attacks on the body's own tissues, inflammation occurring in transparent tissues, and so on.

Inflammatory response is not the same as infection, even though inflammation often occurs due to infection. Inflammation is one of the body's responses to pathogens.
