What are the symptoms of mid-stage lung cancer? Four common symptoms of mid-stage lung cancer

Lung cancer is a common cancer. The symptoms of lung cancer in the early stage are not very obvious. Therefore, when many people find out that they have lung cancer, it is already in the middle or late stage of the disease. However, many people do not know the symptoms of lung cancer in the middle stage. The following is a detailed introduction to the symptoms of lung cancer in the middle stage.

What are the mid-stage symptoms of lung cancer? The common ones are as follows:

1. Hoarseness. This is a common symptom. The recurrent laryngeal nerve that controls the left side of the voice function goes down from the neck to the chest, bypasses the large blood vessels of the heart and goes back up to the larynx, thus controlling the left side of the voice organ. The recurrent laryngeal nerve is compressed in the neck, which can easily affect the pronunciation.

2. Edema of the face and neck. If the tumor invades the right side of the mediastinum and compresses the superior vena cava, the jugular vein will initially become distended due to poor blood flow, leading to edema of the face and neck. The degree of edema will vary with the degree of compression of the tumor.

3. Shortness of breath and pleural effusion. Shortness of breath often occurs in patients with regionally spread lung cancer. If the lymph nodes are blocked by tumors, the tissue fluid transported by the lymph will accumulate in the pericardium to form pericardial effusion or accumulate in the thoracic cavity to form pleural effusion.

4. Chest pain Tumor invasion into any of the above parts will cause pain. Therefore, most patients with regional intrathoracic spread will have symptoms of chest pain.
